QUALIFICATIONS FOR CANDIDACY

*Must be a US citizen

*18 years of age or older (18 years by the 1st day the term is to be filled)

*Candidate must not have final judgment from a court of being mentally incapacitated or partially incapacitated    

without the right to vote

*Candidate must not have a felony conviction 

*Resident of Texas for at least 1 year prior to filing deadline

*Resident of Odem-Edroy ISD for at least 6 months prior to filing deadline

*Registered voter of the territory by the filing deadline
